Big City - Once Homeless, Terri White Is Back in ‘Finian’s Rainbow’
NYTimes.com: "Midway through “Finian’s Rainbow,” which opens Thursday on Broadway, the stage veteran Terri White delivers a bluesy, rasping version of the song “Necessity.” The character wants to play, to rest her “head in the shade,” but, Ms. White belts out, turning to the face the audience directly, “the rent ain’t paid!”"

Terri's story is a terribly heartbreaking one, and unfortunately one that is more and more common as we continue an economic downward spiral. The role in Finian's Rainbow seems to be a glass slipper in Terri's Cinderella story, bringing her back up into a more sustainable economic position and getting her back into performing on Broadway, which may have incalculable effect on her emotionally. She can certainly bring a lot of her experiences into the embodiment of Missitucky's cash-strapped Dottie, and her performance of "Necessity" will have a profound effect on the mood of the show.
