I wish i had been around this weekend to see this production! All of the reviews i have read are raving about it. The origins of this opera in a Shakespeare play fascinate me, so i think it would have been interesting to see what i imagine verses what it is on stage. The article talks a lot about the conductor's control over the show, which i find really interesting. I never realized that the conductor is such a big deal beyond an aesthetic (and practical to keep the orchestra together) purpose. They seem to be able to effect every aspect of the opera.
