Diversity Awards to Honor 'Glee,' 'Parks'
Backstage: "The cast of Fox's 'Glee' will be presented the Favorite New Television Cast Ensemble Award at the Multicultural Motion Picture Assn.'s 17th annual Diversity Awards on Nov. 22 at the Beverly Hills Hotel."

Many people who have read this article have thought that Glee should not have wont this award because they "perpetuate stereotypes". However I think that, while the show has many different races and kinds of people, the stereotypes they discuss are presented in such a manner that to the audience they seem ridiculous and in turn cause the audience to condemn such broad stereotypes.
i think its great that more prime time shows on networks such as abc, nbc and fox have shows that have a more diverse cast of actors, greys anatomy, heroes and glee are all shows that have been majorly successful and have a diverse cast without necessarily choosing actors to portray a racial stereotype, in fact i was watching a behind the scenes video of glee's casting process and the original screenplay had some of the characters that were imagined to be a certain ethnicity and type but chosen based on the good chemistry they had with the other actors in the cast which shows how unbiased and organic the casting process was
