Prime Stage's 'Our Town' has a Hallmark feel

Post Gazette: "A great play is always welcome. Thanks to Prime Stage for letting Thornton Wilder's spare, feeling 'Our Town' speak to us again so intimately, with its essentially American accent, of love, life and death."

From this article this production of Our Town does not sound too great. I myself do not want to go see a show that is described as a hallmark card. It makes the production sound cheesy and awful. The writer of this article really did not agree with the directional choices as well as the design choices of the production team.
In high school we did another play by Wilder Skin of Our Teeth and it had a stage manager part in it as well. I have not seen Our Town but this seems to be a common theme in his writing.
