It's allways been interesting to me that while books tend to be converted to slightly worse movies, movies don't get much flack when converted to theater. I can't imagine this musical could be worse than the original movie, so the adaptation probably suited it well. While funny, and highly twisted the original movie is far from intelligent. Hopefully the musical score injects a shot of cleverness into the script. I'd be interested in seeing how the stage production deals with the high levels of gore that were such a crucial part of the movie.
The entire production was brilliant! Dancap should has been celebrated for bringing something so clever to Toronto!
