wesa.fm: When I started making phone calls for a newsletter story on how Pittsburgh’s arts community is feeling about the new administration in Washington, it was Monday morning. I was going to ask folks about the effects of President Donald Trump’s executive orders terminating diversity, equity and inclusion [DEI] programs in federal agencies and limiting gender to “two sexes, male and female,” and another that seemingly devalued the arts as a whole.
