Na’cho turns to zactrack SMART for Alanis Morissette’s World Tour
TPi: Orlando-based Na’cho Production & Design is using a zactrack SMART automated follow system for the 2021-22 world tour by Alanis Morissette celebrating 25 years of Jagged Little Pill.
Seven-time GRAMMY Award-winning singer/songwriter Alanis Morissette kicked off the 35-date US leg of her amphitheater tour in Austin, Texas in August. It wraps in October in Los Angeles, which includes a two-night special at The Hollywood Bowl.

I had never heard of zactrack previous to this article. I think that it sounds like such a cool system. They spoke about how Alanis Morisette’s performances usually have a distinct 90’s grunge kind of aesthetic to them. Similar to Nirvana and Pearl Jam, they use a lot of precise and thin performance lighting that elevates the music to more of a performer centric show rather than purely about the music. It is also incredibly interesting that the system is so easy to set up. I have always believed that more modern fixtures and systems would be much more difficult when programming and loading in but the general consensus on this tour seems to be that it has saved a lot of time and effort in its tracking system. I don’t know much about concert lighting or general technology but I can only imagine how back breaking the load in and load out processes must be for touring companies.
