Quickly Change and Modify AutoCAD Block Attributes With Export and Import
Tuesday Tips With Brandon | AutoCAD Blog | Autodesk: I have often been asked if it is possible to make changes to large quantities of blocks at one time or to export their attributes in some way out of AutoCAD. The answer lies within the Export and Import Attribute commands to quickly change and modify AutoCAD block attributes.

I always love a good AutoCAD article! I typically learn something new to incorporate into my workflow , and this one is no exception. I haven't really played around in the express tools ribbon, so I'm not surprised there is something useful in there that I didn't know about! I can see the import and export attributes commands being incredibly useful for managing large numbers of blocks at the same time. Having a text or excel file with the common attributes like production title, designer names, page count, etc. for a title block would be a great way to reduce the amount of time I have to input redundant info between sheets. I supposed that is what the sheet set manager is for, but the interface is kind of intimidating so I have been afraid to try it out. The input and export attribute command would also be useful for managing detail callouts in terms of naming conventions, as it would help maintain consistency between sheets or even different drawings.
