A People's History: How Daisey does it
DC Theatre Scene: As much as I have been knocked out by Daisey’s hilarious and trenchant material—which is about America’s history and his own—I have been marveling at his command of it. Each 90-minute show is different and unscripted. He improvises from handwritten notes on the table in front of him that he scarcely glances at. Now and then he’ll pick up a page to read aloud from a historical source, quoting from Howard Zinn’s A People’s History of the United States.
