Assistant.to was by far my favorite of the scheduling applications, primarily because of the compatibility with google and the fact it is free! I love scheduler apps as a production manager, but I am always weary about their compatibility with our industry. It seems so often that what we do has drastically different parameters than the scheduling needs of a physicians' office per se. I know Molly uses Doodle for her office hours sign up. It seems to be super effective when trying to get all your students in for advising meetings. Additionally, Tepper staff all utilized a full scheduling system created for their specific uses. Ultimately, I think a scheduling software is only worth while if an entire staff uses it. That also allows a company to get more use for their money. Speaking of, I think apps that have special pricing for non-profits will find themselves being used more often by smaller, low-budget organizations.

So I really liked that this article focuses on both free and paid meeting scheduler apps. I too really like Assistant.to, and really enjoyed the features described. With this app, you can schedule "from inside an email" and all you have to do is "click on the Assistant.to icon and pick times your free. Assistant.to embeds the times directly into the email so the recipient can quickly pick a time that works for them." I really enjoy the seamless nature of this, and sometimes half the battle is trying to remember which when2meet you are trying to reference--I sent out a total of 5 last week alone for various meetings, some multiples for the same shows, but different groups. Doodle is one of the oldest of the bunch, and does have some good features; "Doodle is unique in the space of meeting schedulers because it helps groups of people find a time to meet that works for everyone. It integrates with your calendar and allows you to send a poll to all invited. Once people vote on the poll you can see which time works best for everyone." This is a nice feature, but it can also lead to having to scroll forever, and I think gives too many options and is a bit too overwhelming. When2meet wasn't featured, but I have to say I really do like that one. It is free, easy to use, and works great with mobile devices which is a plus.
