Live Design: The CES 2018 opening night keynote presentation was all about data, from its importance in our lives to its power to transform the world. Held at the Park Theatre at Monte Carlo in Las Vegas on January 8, the keynote immersed attendees in the future of data-driven technology, with help from live event experts, including executive technical producer John Halloran John Halloran and Associates, executive producer and creative director Bill Welter of Clarity Creative, production designer Todd Ivins, and executive art director Gregg Stokes of Clarity Creative.

Wow, goodness gracious, the visuals for this presentation are insanity! Media is getting more and more advanced and important when it comes to anything happening on a stage. The technology being made to create visuals like this is being furthered and pushed every day. The media in this presentation really reminds me of some of the animations I see on Instagram. There are tons of accounts where artists post short animations, most of which do not have storylines. They look very experimental, and feature things like jelly jiggling and being bounced around, glass rooms full of balls of different colors that explode, and strange invisible figures draped in transparent colored cloth, dancing around with the fabric swaying around them. This art form is something anyone can enjoy and be amazed at. You know how much work was done when you watch them, making them easily appreciated as well as visually exciting. I’m glad this type of art is becoming widely appreciated!
