I cannot believe that this is projections. These moving geometric shapes look like they are actually three dimensional. These animations look very much like something out of some sort of puzzle video game. It is kind of scary how crisp, bright, and saturated these projections are. I wonder how the projections look from another angle. Does the wall still look as if it recedes back and do the pinwheels still look right? My mind just cannot wrap itself around how these projections are creating this three dimensional space. Projected augmented reality is not something I have ever heard of, but with a quick google search, it seems like a really cool new technology that definitely has theatrical potential. It makes me kind of upset that this is just an advertisement for a movie. I wish that other artists and art organizations had the money and/or the sponsorship to explore using this kind of technology in a context other than this.

This is not real life. How in the world can this exist. The rise of media in our lives is really amazing. It is so cool that these video artists can create such three dimensional animations with something that is inherently 2 dimensional. While watching, it felt as if the physical building was actually moving around with the windows and turning. I cannot imagine how much money was spent on this to get such bright and vibrant images. While watching this as an advertisement, I could not help but imagine a Blade runner type future. Not in the development of robots but in the advancement of our advertising industry. I can see these replacing billboards and screens once the technology becomes more common. This is a completely new form of artistry that is really thriving on the modern worlds advancements and I cannot wait to see it become a universal fixture in our lives.
