The article has little information, but the idea is very big. when someone thinks of a waiter, the idea of an actor is not far behind. It is a well known fact that if one wants too make money, they should not go into theatre. But there are many instances where actors, and tech crew, deserve better than what they are offered. The role of actor or backstage hand is not a job to be taken lightly and with this bill, compensation can be restored so that a Broadway back-up doesn't have to wait tables in his spare time just to afford housing. Working in theatre is not for soft at heart kind of people. It takes strength, endurance, and chutzpah. It is about time these theatre jobs finally came with the paycheck that they deserve.
