Production Manager/Technical Director
FSU/Asolo Conservatory for Actor Training invites applicants for technical director/production manager, beginning August, 2012. TD is responsible for all physical aspects of Conservatory production and facilities, including: coordinating design for 4 play Conservatory season, including lighting, set, sound and costume design; set design for major portion of season; oversight of all load in and strike, including sets, lights, and props; training and supervision of all student crews; oversight of production budgets for the season; liaison between Asolo Rep, Asolo Rep scene shop and Conservatory, including coordination of equipment sharing and production schedule; and technical oversite of facility and all theatre rentals. Candidate should possess technical knowledge of all aspects of theatre, including: electrics, sound, carpentry, properties, rigging, computer drafting, and theatrical production software; strategic problem solving skills; and a commitment to excellence in graduate education.
