Wordplay gives 'Elder Hostages' a lift
Post gazette: Must be "senior awareness month" on the local stage. First, "Mid-Strut" at the Pittsburgh Playhouse with its trio of 50s lovers and now at Pittsburgh Playwrights Theatre, "Elder Hostages" with elderly characters for whom sex is just a dim memory -- if they can remember much at all. The creator of this trio of one-act plays is multitalented Ray Werner, who tells us in the play program that his business card reads "Writer, Baker, Music Maker."
