The Holy Grail of High Fidelity
residentialsystems: There’s no doubt that technology is moving at a pace these days that’s virtually impossible to keep up with, and if you were not paying attention, you may have missed the biggest breakthrough in the history of recorded music. The history of the recording arts goes way back to 1878 when Edison invented the first cylinder-based players.

So I went into this article thinking it was going to be about the age old battle of analog versus digital. I was refreshed to read that it was about new tech instead of trying to get people to convert back to records or talk about the woes of digital recording removing all of the soul of the music. I think it’s cool that they are “subverting” blu-ray to become a great combination of enhanced sound and adding more features. i am curious how far they get before there is no perceptable difference
