NOTCOT.ORG: A short film about Laser Cut Studio and its owner Adam Rowe. The newly opened studio in Helsinki is changing the way designers and creatives work with manufacturers within Finland.
This was interesting because at first I was unimpressed by this video, thinking that it was more concerned about the aesthetic of the video than about getting the company out there. Then I realized that it was kind of like a video resume or cover letter, like a company's highlight reel, which is a different way of thinking about how you could present yourself. And evidently, as a company rooted deeply in the design world, the aesthetic is something that says something about you, so it's important that the music and the direction of the clip is considered, just as it is important that the layout and design of a resume is considered. I don't really think that Laser Cut Studio is doing anything new here, really, but it was worth getting thoughts in motion about time based resumes.
