NY Daily News: The sticky legal battle between producers of “Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark” and director Julie Taymor has been settled — nearly a year after her firing from the hit Broadway musical. The deal announced Thursday should leave Taymor’s Spidey-sense — and wallet — tingling: She will reportedly receive full royalties of nearly $10,000 a week through the show’s entire New York run.

Well Finally...
I would retire if I got $10,000 a week. Though I guess it is more about recognizing her work on the show than the actual money since Julie Taymor does not really need the money. So I am glad that Taymore is getting royalties for her work, she certainly put in a good chunk of it, plenty of which was kept in the final production. It is just a shame that it took so long since at this point the Spider-Man mania about the show and all it's trials has wound down. This may be good for publicity, but it may hurt since Spider-Man drama is sort of a thing of the past.
