Rhodopi International Theatre Laboratory

(summer 2012 -Bulgaria, Greece and Turkey)

For the last seven years, CMU students, faculty members,and alumni have participated in the Rhodopi  International Theatre Laboratory(RITL), a professional training program in the mythological birthplace ofOrpheus and Eurydice and an original terrain of the cult of Dionysus.  The 2012 program is scheduled from July 11 toAugust 14, and will include travel to a number of locations throughout Greeceand Turkey and a  mini-festival of works-in-progress in Smolyan and Plovdiv,Bulgaria.  Details and an application canbe found at www.rhodopi.net <http://www.rhodopi.net> .  The program is highly recommended, physicallyand intellectually rigorous, and will engage you with hands-on practice oftheatrical and dramatic forms from around the world. Financial assistance is available from the program.   If you have any questions about the program, the applicationprocess, or financial assistance, please email the Executive Artistic Director,Jared J.
