Oh my goodness, poeple like this drive me crazy. I am sorry that they got injured while going to have a show. However, the 'arranging a hazardous and dangerous choreography' statement, is quite ridiculous. I agree that the show was to blame for the accident but it was not done out of malicious intent. And everyone is now suing anyone over anything, and its ridiculous. I am sorry that they got hurt but also if the choreography wasnt hazardous it probably wouldnt be all that intersting.
Wow. $4 million is quite ridiculous. However, even though I'm not at all an expert in laws, it seems like these kinds of lawsuits are becoming more and more common, with a lot of it occurring a year or two after the incident, asking for ridiculous amounts of money for damage. And it does put people in the mentality of "Well, if this person got millions out of this, then why can't I get the same treatment?"
I do wonder what kind of accident would lead to people having concussions and "permanent scars."
I also am curious as to what the actual injury was, it never is really mentioned in the article. It's not surprising that a lawsuit followed this incident, and we don't know if the women that actually were hurt were the ones who wanted to press charges or if they were encouraged by lawyers. Really, the big question is what the actual stunt was and what the likelihood was that this could have happened. So many different incidents can be possible, and any prop can accidentally be kicked into the audience. If this was truly an accident, I hope the show doesn't suffer too badly financially.
