Theatre Review: Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark
National Post: "It’s tough to determine the most ludicrous moment in the new Spider-Man musical. Is it the scene where Spidey wages a battle to the death with an oversized blow-up doll, which looks as though it had been filched from the local dollar store? Or maybe it’s that awful sequence where a “geek chorus” of adolescents gets confused over the difference between Free Willy and free will — and futilely waits for us to laugh. Or perhaps it’s when something large and creepy-crawly gets a blast from a can of Raid, or the equivalent thereof.
