A few of my friends have gone to see this. Actors, playwrights, costume designers, sound designers. The only compliment I've heard from them is "This looks so unsafe." This would almost be a compliment if no one got hurt. As far as I'm concerned if no one likes the plot and music then it's not a worthwhile show.
It's interesting to see that the top five things about the show that were liked have very little to do with the plot or music of the show. I have heard from many people that it is visually stunning, very interesting to watch and look at, but that the show itself falls short. Seeing here that the positives of the show were once again simply on the surface is quite a disappointment. Those working on Spiderman have been trying for so long to fix this show, when all along it didn't make a difference because the show quality seems low, no matter how pretty and aesthetically pleasing it is to the audiences.
