Report: 'Spider-Man' Producers Ask Comic Book Writer to Revise Script

Backstage: "Producers of the troubled Broadway musical Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark are looking to revise the script and have approached a comic book writer/playwright for help, according to the New York Times. They have reportedly asked Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, a playwright who has written Spider-Man stories for Marvel Comics, if he would be willing and available to help with the script revision, the Times reported, citing sources.

This is a bit too late to be doing a script redo.  This seems like they are just doing this as a reaction to the bad press that they have been getting for the show.  With the show planned to open in the next coming weeks they may need to push that date out even further  if they are doing a rewrite.  It takes a long time to tech the show so this may be a show that may never open and just stay in previews forever with many interested people wanting to see what all the controversy is all about. I hope them the best.  Maybe we will see this show officially open in the coming months or even years.
