I wouldn't have thought that Dracula would turn into a dance piece. Seeing Dracula in NY, I always thought of it more as a play or musical than dance, but it seems everything can be transformed into dance. As much as Dracula is a love story, it wouldn't be my first pick for Valentines day. Seeing how the story unfolds through dance would be interesting to watch. I would also be interesting to see how they capitalize on the romance through the thought of "being bit" as romantic. Trying to perceive peoples fascinations with vampires is something I cant grasp. Edward will just have to wait in my books.

When I first heard that Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre was doing Dracula I was a little surprised. First of all because I didn't know that Dracula was a ballet, but also because it such a strange choice. Although once I thought about it I think Dracula was a great choice. It is not a show that ballet companies usually do which I think drew attention from the general public. Its a dark show and therefore goes against what everyone normally thinks of ballet shows. I'm really disappointed I missed it.
