Applying for financial aid will be more difficult this year than last I am sure. Even though many parents' and students' incomes will be less this year than last, there is still less to give out. At the same time, although loans are are supposedly easier to receive for college tuition, they also have increasing interest rates. At the same time, no one really knows if the economic crisis will be resolved by the time they graduate, so paying off debt is uncertain.
One can only hope that the government will be able to fund students to the best of their ability. When one looks at university in Europe, and how its basically free for residents, one starts to wonder if our way makes sense.
