Bloomberg.com: "Broadway musicals are often announced years in advance. Thanks to television star Megan Mullally, Broadway belter Sherie Rene Scott may have the challenge of opening one with a month’s notice."

It interests me at the idea of putting on a Broadway show in one month. Here, shows are planned months in advance. In playground, we had a week, and it was tough to create a set, let alone have quality lighting and costume design. It is a scramble, so I can only imagine how that must be for the crew, team, and performers of this. Good thing, the show can be performed/mounted with limited set and such, that could take months to build. This is more about the story it seems, which is good and it has gotten good reviews. Seeing Scott in both, little mermaid, and dirty rotten scoundrels, I am sure she will be great, ready to start and have an awesome Broadway run.
Can't wait to see this if everything comes together!
I read this about Megan's drop:
There were rumors suggesting she had differences with the director. Now, sources are claiming that the real reason she ditched the show was because she want co-star Patton Oswalt fired. Insiders say that he wasn't living up to her standards of talent and she told director Jon Mantello she wanted him out. When he refuse, she walked.
Thats unfortunate, but I love Sherrie Rene Scott
It's nice to have all the time and resources in the world, but it sounds much more exciting to have a month to put up an entire Broadway show. It will be interesting to see what kind of creativity will be bred from this close deadline. It's also nice to see a new Broadway show that isn't an adaptation of That One Eighties Movie That Was Kind of Good. This production sounds like something I would like to see.
