A ‘leap of faith’ pays off nicely for City Ballet
SignOnSanDiego.com: "City Ballet of San Diego teetered on the edge of bankruptcy a year ago, but that near-death experience put barely a crimp in Steven and Elizabeth Wistrich’s ambition to make their company San Diego’s top professional ballet troupe."

I very nearly had the opportunity to go see the City Ballet's production of Peter Pan, and after reading this, i wish i would have. It seems that this theater, despite being in severe economic hardships, is still practicing their art. This is the most important thing that we as artists can take away from City Ballet's story. We are all creative enough to come up with solutions that will get us through the hardships, and eventually turn us around. City Ballet can be looked upon as a striking example to what a small ballet theater should be, and how to go full steam ahead in the face of troubles.
