Gap Store Completely Turned Upside-Down
Jezebel: "To announce the arrival of the Gap's 'Sprize' customer-loyalty program (and probably to shock passersby into noticing), a Gap in Vancouver was completely flipped upside-down, in line with Sprize's motto 'shopping turned on its head.'"

This is a pretty cool marketing gimmick. I know that if I walked by and saw everything upside down, even if it wasn't a store I normally shop at, I would stop in just to see how they set it up. It's also a nice incentive to have the "sprizemoney" if the item goes on sale after buying it. I know that it is frustrating to buy something at full price, only to see the price get dropped down a few days later. I think that Gap will definitely benefit by implementing this plan.
I really like this marketing tool. It definately catches the eye of people walking down the street. The sheer ability to turn the shop upside down is amazing, let alone doing it in a small period of time. I think this large eye catching and almost interactive marketing ploy shuld be used in a more wide stream and American markets. The creativity in American market is essentially limied to creative commericials.
