The Puppets are Coming! Avenue Q to Set Off on National Tour in August

Playbill News: "Currently in its fourth year on Broadway, the show has already played a run in Las Vegas at the Wynn Las Vegas casino resort — an exclusive deal that originally kept the show from touring — and currently enjoys a run at London's Noel Coward Theatre. The musical will next play Old Globe's summer season at the historic Spreckels Theatre in San Diego, CA, starting June 30."

It will be interesting how this tour does. I hear it bombed in Vegas (even with John T), but that may have been due to the LV attention span and lack of naked girls.
There is a good portion of crude humor, but it is also full of complex and 'less traditional' characters and themes which might not transition well onto the non-Broadway stage.
