I know it's kind of weird to comment on a Conservatory Hour notice, but this "intents and insights" was quite different than the others. Usually the director just talks and talks and doesn't give the designers any time to speak, least of all the LD. But at the Oresteia Conservatory Hour, it was quite different. Of course the director(s) talked, which is expected and necessary to explain the overall concept, etc. But each designer had adequate time to speak. And there were more designers than usual. One set designer, 3 costume designers, and 2 lighting designers. All 6 people explained their ideas in full, which I must say was surprising, but definitely a pleasant surprise.
