While I have lots of issues with California governor Gavin Newson and there is a lot I disagree with him on, I agree with his sentiment that our president is an idiot who has no idea what he is doing and seems to be incapable of learning anything from anyone he disagrees with. I don’t quite remember what news blog article it was (I think it was the one about the new season of the Netflix show “three body problem”) but it referenced how the filming was moved to Hungry (I’m not 100% sure it was Hungry but it is was somewhere like that) because they offered really good tax credits for filming in the country. In this article, it was talking about California’s recent of the credit program for film from $330m to $750m and how “The California Film Commission reported that submissions were up 400% for the first round of credits made available since the expansion came into effect”. I think this is the right idea for how we should go about bringing entertainment back to California. Not uninformed tariffs that burn bridges rather than invite and encourage companies to work with us.
