5 Of The Highest-Rated Icon Hand Tools You Can Buy At Harbor Freight
www.slashgear.com: There are hundreds of high-quality tools available at Harbor Freight that you can add to your toolbox, and there are a handful that you're better off avoiding. Not only are they high-quality, but they are also distinct and different to fulfil a variety of needs, such as products small enough to fit on your keychain.

I have heard of Harbor freight as a company before, and I have been interested due to hearing of the quality of the companies products. Of the few products that were shown on this article the product that really stood out to me was the Locking Flex-Head Ratchet and Bit Set. The idea of a ratcheting bit set is not necessarily unique, but the part of this product that really caught my eye was the shape of the tool itself. I already own a ratcheting screwdriver with interchangeable bit, but with this tool being in the shape of a traditional ratcheting wrench it changes the impact of the entire product. This shape means that that the bits for this tool can now fit into tighter places, and it will also be easier to tighten a screw down with this tool due to the greater amount of force that you can create with a ratchetting handle instead of a ratcheting or standard driver.
I don’t mind buying from Harbor Freight, but my personal rule of thumb is that if it has a lot of moving parts I’ll get it somewhere else. The only tool in this list that I would be wary of is the ratchet set, mostly because I don’t think it would stand up to intense use or last for a long time. I’m sure it’s a good deal for someone who doesn’t use these tools everyday, but I would want to look for a higher-quality set. Either way, I wouldn’t want a hex drive set; I’d prefer a 3/8” or ½” drive set. All of the other tools don’t look too bad. I don’t really understand why the allen key set is color-coded, especially because I see keys in the set that are the same color. I wonder sometimes if this site is sponsored by Harbor Freight, because I feel like every tool article we see from this site is about Harbor Freight.
I really need a new set of pliers. My current ones aren’t ribbed which makes it very hard to twist thicker wire! I think if I were to get some I’d get the 8 inch ones because a.) they’re cheaper, and b.) I can take them on a plane. These pliers seem reliable! Kind of selling me on them, and I’m usually quite critical in these reviews. The locking flex head ratchet and bit strap would be really useful to me, not only in the theatre-homeowner way, but also because I skate a lot and a catch-all tool would be useful for fixing my skates up. $39.99 though… might have to give it a wait. I probably wouldn’t get the wrenches (a C-wrench will do well for most of my needs, and I also have a skate tool with the round end of the combo wrench on it in three sizes. Also $129.99.. Gonna have to wait. Deadblow hammer! I’ve only ever used it for taking wooden things apart by absolutely wrecking them with one. And tbh I think I’d get those allen wrenches just because they’re rainbow.
