Wenger has been busy these last couple of years with acquisition of different companies. I was intrigued to see the acquisition of Creative Connors knowing Wengers history and what they offered. I was excited to see the growth but it does concern me slightly with these companies becoming entertainment industry giants. With Tait and Rosebrand we are seeing our options of where we can get these things shrink and it is limiting the market and the prices that we can get these services. Wenger has served the theatre industry for years increasing rigging safety, automation technology and much more. I wonder how these companies are going to continue to service the industry with the new partnerships. What new education opportunities are going to be offered and how will we see the theatre architecture and technology shift as more company "secrets" get shared and more standardized? Ultimately I think that this will benefit the industry and I look forward to see what will come of this.

Wenger has made a huge push into different theatrical systems beyond its usual music stands, shells, and risers. Through JR Clancy they started to become a huge player in rigging system installation, inspection, maintenance, and retrofitting. Through Creative Conners they expanded their automation greatly and much farther into whole theatre automation as well as stage automation machinery. Now with Texas scenic they are quickly becoming a one stop shop for theatre design and automation as well as any entertainment fabrication and installation. After these quick incorporation of the companies I wonder if anyone is else on the docket for Wenger to round out their capabilities more. I saw the Vantis in multiple stages of production and with the integration of creative conners I think the technology will rapidly advance. It will be very interesting to see how all these companies will be able to integrate together so quickly. Hopefully it is not just a flash in the pan but these companies have strong bases to grow from.
