First of all this is a very cool article, and it is even better that it lists performance arts events that are happening in the area. I for one sometimes struggle with knowing what shows or events are coming up in time to get tickets. This article makes that process so much easier. As I looked over this list of shows I found that I was interested in shows that I would otherwise not have even looked at. One show in particular that really interested me is "Bugs Bunny at the Symphony". I have never seen or even heard anything from a Looney Tunes Symphony performance, but I am very interested to see how it may compare to other more typical Symphonic performances. I don't know if I will actually go in person, but I will be looking out for reports or any free audio that may be available from the performance.

This article reminds me of how my art teacher used to encourage us to go out to different kinds of art, both live performances and galleries. She would post a monthly update on local art events that were happening and there was even a full system developed for logging in school and out of school hours to get credit when you graduate if you attend enough events. Because of this my family made once a month day trips to see traveling Broadway shows. This was an incredible and inspiring experience that made me even more excited to go into theater professionally. I also ended up going to a lot of children's plays and musicals in my area, some of them were definitely rough. But they are just another opportunity to be in theater and teach it to kids which could be an awesome job. I think lists like this make it so apparent how often people are making art which is super inspiring and motivates me to keep creating.

I am in love with this On Stage digest of all that is to come! I have tried in the past two years to go out and see all that the art scene in Pittsburgh has to offer, and I’ve been able to do that a bit but now that I have a car here and have assignments with a bit more time flexibility, I am excited to branch out. This was extremely helpful to start scoping out things I’m interested in. I’ve never seen a production of Noises Off but I do think I would love it. A lot of wonderful Shakespeare and Jazz concerts that I would love to go see and hear. I’ve always wanted to see a production of Fefu and her Friends live so maybe I’ll check that out. And I am very excited for the Pittsburgh Ballet production of Dracula, I think that’ll be super epic!
