www.slashgear.com: If you're a creative person and a jack-of-all-trades, chances are that you've given woodworking a try at some point in the past, or you intend to get your hands dirty with wood filings in the future. There's something immensely gratifying about crafting usable or purely objects out of what used to be a bland log of wood.

This was a really cool article to read. While these are just everyday items you can go and buy at a store, making them yourself can add some kind of value to them. This article piqued my interest a little as I’ve somewhat gotten interested in making things myself. Throughout highschool, I built myself a bunch of shelves for my room using leftover butcher block my family had. Also if you end up breaking any of these items, you can go ahead and make a new one. I also found it really helpful that they give you a guide on how to make the items they listed rather than just listing them. It was surprising to me that you can make a lamp, more specifically, the lamp shade out of wood. Almost any lamp I see has a lamp shade that light can somewhat travel through. This is definitely something I may wanna try in the future.
