dBTechnologies Reports Busy Summer Festival Season In Italy

ProSoundWeb: dBTechnologies is reporting a busy summer season on Italy’s festival circuit for systems headed by the company’s VIO Series loudspeakers and subwoofers, with applications ranging from historic piazzas to coastal stages, from forested parks to sun-drenched southern landscapes.

I thought this was a really cool article because it shows how crazy busy the festival season in Italy has been and how dBTechnologies was right in the middle of it. I really liked reading about how versatile their VIO Series systems were across all these different types of venues. You had setups in historic piazzas, coastal stages, and even forest parks, and yet the gear had to adapt to all of it. What stood out to me was the way they used AuroraNet for real-time monitoring and control. Being able to walk around with a laptop and fine-tune levels in different parts of the venue is such an important part of getting a consistent sound, and I think that’s what makes these systems so reliable for traveling engineers. Some of the system designs were also super impressive. For example, flying nine S218F subs per side in cardioid mode or setting up massive arrays like 36 L212s with 36 subs at La Prima Estate is not something you just casually pull off. That takes serious planning and skill. I also liked how much attention was given to front fills and coverage, making sure every spot of the audience had a solid experience.
