'Slanted Floors': Inside New York’s Most Exclusive Theater Show
www.thedailybeast.com: It’s oddly appropriate that squiring a ticket to see Slanted Floors has become as tough as booking a table at one of New York’s hottest restaurants.
For one, every performance hosts only six audience members, and so there is a waitlist. For another, at what is currently New York’s most unique and exclusive piece of theater, you can expect food (delicious vegetarian soup and bread) and to eat this light repast with the two actors playing a couple also eating their supper.

This is absolutely fascinating to me. Lots of people talk of immersive theatre but few people take it to this level. Having only six audience members sounds insane. I am so curious how much the tickets are that they are able to sustain the run of the show with so little ticket sales. That being said, it seems like there is quite the demand to see the show as well as probably some expense offputs as it sounds like it takes place in a literal apartment, one which if Im guessing doesn't have such a steep venue fee. Because the show and setting is so intimate I am curious to see how the actors go about their technique. Since the audience is so close and personal, do they lean more into the subtly of film acting despite there being so cameras or do they stick to the boldness of stage acting.
