Olight ArkPro Flashlight Review: An Illuminating Upgrade
Pro Tool Reviews: Over the last few years, we’ve reviewed several Olight flashlights. We appreciate them for their sleek design, intelligent design, and durable build. The Olight ArkPro flashlight is the brand’s most recent release, and I got my hands on one to see if it could back up the hype. I had some questions about what makes it stand out from the other models in Olight’s lineup, so I’ll walk you through what I discovered.

It’s not often that you find a tool that is well suited for theater without being purpose-built for it. This flashlight is just about as close as you can get. Five brightness settings and adjustable spot/flood sounds really nice. Particularly, I like that it has the ‘moonlight’ setting. It can be difficult to find a nice flashlight that isn’t always super bright; a light like this is nice to have during a focus call or backstage during a show, for example. On top of that, a built-in laser and UV light sound super interesting. I can see how the laser would be useful for what we do. I don’t know what the UV light would be useful for, but I’m sure there would be an application. One thing that I’m not sure I would love is the controls. It seems a bit nuanced, and I can imagine situations where I’d be messing with the controls for a few seconds instead of just pressing a single button. I’ also not a big fan of the strobe mode, but it seems to be unavoidable nowadays when you purchase a nice flashlight.
