KAWS and Labubus To Take Over Hong Kong For “Water Parade”
mymodernmet.com: Next month, Hong Kong will welcome a unique sight. Local creative brand AllRightsReserved will bring the first ever “Water Parade” to the world-famous Victoria Harbor, featuring some beloved characters such as Labubus, Grimace, Doraemon, and Elmo from Sesame Street with a KAWS twist.

I can not explain my feelings for Labubus, actually I can. WHY ARE THEY SO POPULAR?! THEY LOOK SO WEIRD AND SHOULDN’T BE AS EXPENSIVE AS THEY ARE. Anyway, a water parade is such an interesting concept, especially since it has never been done before. Personally I don’t think there should be a water parade just due to the fact we have no idea what it could possibly do to the water pollution wise, especially because of the fact boats have to pull these 65 foot tall inflatables and there is always the risk of one popping. The fact that little figurines of these characters will be sold at the event tells me this is just a tourist attraction and is barely worth anyone’s time. It is also kind of insane that they will have viewing platforms open till late at night. Nothing bad has ever happened on a viewing platform near water at night……
