GoldDerby: It’s not until the epilogue of The Brutalist that the audience receives the full picture of what they’ve been watching architect László Tóth (Oscar nominee Adrien Brody) construct with exacting precision and unbending resolve for the previous three hours. An institute built with specifications that mirrored the Nazi concentration camp at Buchenwald, where he was held prisoner before immigrating to America, that also memorialized the separation he had from his wife, Erzsébet Tóth (Oscar nominee Felicity Jones).
