This is a great win! Each union that can come together and win inspires other people and their unions to be able to fight for more. The fight that the Nickelodeon Animation Workers and the Animation Guild was able to win for their contract comes after another win from the Nickelodeon Animation editors ratified their contract for increasing wages from 9 to 70 percent. All these wins are beneficial for each other especially after our wages have fallen so far below where inflation continues to rise. The rise in wages for the Animation Guild and Staffing Minimums protects their workers from having to pull crazy amounts of hours and the wage increase helps them not feel like they need or want to pull those crazy hours to finish the job or be able to meet their budget minimums. The unions are able to protect their workers from corporations who only see a dollar value.
