New NEA Guidelines Require Compliance With Trump’s Anti-DEI, Anti-Trans Orders

Reading this article was thoroughly depressing in almost every manner. We're only one month into this (hopefully) 48 month long presidency and already shit it hitting the fan. It's probably no surprise that I am not Trump's biggest fan, but its really infuriating how everything about this man is a contradiction. His whole platform is based on freedom and getting the government out of personal decisions, and yet everything he's doing is infringing on people's freedoms. Also the idea that including DEI mentions in a piece of art is discriminatory is crazy. How is anything related to diversity equity and inclusion going to be discriminatory? That sentence is just an oxymoron. And I realize that pointing out how nothing Trump does or says makes any sense isn't going to change anything because nothing about him has ever made sense and yet he still got reelected, but holy shit how is trying to pass any sort of gun regulation an infringement of freedom, but straight up limiting freedom of speech in the NEA is fine?
