How a Historic House in Connecticut Gave "Christmas on Honeysuckle Lane" the Perfect Location
The Credits: Christmas may be over, but Christmas movies are a delight anytime. There are plenty of classic Christmas movies for pretty much every taste. The sentimental (or viewers of a certain age) might tell you that there’s no improvement upon Frank Capra’s 1946 classic It’s a Wonderful Life or, just a year later, George Seaton’s seminal 1947 film Miracle on 34th Street.

After reading this article, I'm even more convinced that Connecticut is just a fake state that seems to be entirely full of fake towns that serve as the backdrop for Christmas movies. I’ve seen how big Connecticut is on a map, there's no way there can be anything else in it besides 22 hallmark filming locations and Yale School of Drama, there simply isn't enough space. But besides that, I understand how this house was picked as the perfect filming location for a hallmark movie. It's got everything, a frankly unfairly adorable outside, to a beautifully furnished inside, all within a town that sounds like a fairy tale retelling of a town. I do appreciate this person's admiration of the cast and crews dedication to the project. One of my favorite things about theater is watching giant groups of people work together to create a beautiful end product, no matter how many late nights and cups of coffee it takes.
