I think this article is a great place for anyone who doesn’t know much about sound or sound systems, when they need to start looking for a lavalier mic. I don’t know all that much about mics and how different types can affect the system or a work flow, so this list of things to consider was definitely helpful in learning a little. There were many things that I would not have thought to consider for purchasing a mic, such as ease of use for any visitors or volunteers who are new to doing sound in that space, I feel like it would be an especially high concern for any public venues, such as churches or school auditoriums. Clip design was another aspect that I don’t know of many people thinking about when purchasing mics for a general purpose system even though it is such a cause for irritation when the clip keeps falling off.
