SIX is one of my favorite musicals and it is the one that I have seen the most times. I first discovered SIX back in 2021, and when my mom and I planned a trip to New York City in 2022 we made sure to get tickets for the show. I was beyond excited in the weeks leading up to the show, and finally stepping into that theater felt like a fever dream. I was also fortunate enough to see five out of six of the original Broadway cast members. Since then, I have seen the US tour twice with my friends, and it is amazing to see how every actor approaches their portrayal of each Queen differently. For me, that is part of the magic of SIX. The fans seem to pay attention to the individual actors more so than any other Broadway musical, and I think it is beautiful that the cast is getting the recognition they deserve.

When I first read about SIX and its student rush tickets, I was instantly excited. I saw Six with my best friend doing the Broadway lottery almost two years ago, and we got so lucky without seats we got a biz all to ourselves, and it was such a great experience. The Broadway lottery has been open for six for a long time, but I'm glad they are branching out to cheaper rush tickets as well. I would be really excited if I decided to go again to see the new cast and the choices made, and just the overall way the show has evolved over the past two years without actually changing. I've also always wanted to see this show in London because they have the actual accent of these queens, and that's where the show originated, and I feel like it would be a whole new experience, especially seeing a West End show; I've only ever seen one, and it was phenomenal, so we'll see what the future holds!

This is the first show I've seen selling discounted student tickets, and I think it's great to offer more accessibility to students. As a college student studying drama, I love to go out and see live theatre and see how the things that I'm learning are being applied in the professional world. Unfortunately it can be very expensive, but a lot of small theaters will offer student tickets.I hope other Broadway shows will start to pick up this trend as well. It would be awesome to be able to go see more shows as a student without having to worry so much about the cost.
I saw SIX this spring, and it was a phenomenal show. I especially loved the concert-style lighting that was used, this is the only musical I've seen that has been able to do that. The structure of this musical is very different from most contemporary musicals, but it still felt like I was in a theatre. They creative team and the actors have done great work with this show.
