Reading about Erik and his journey to becoming an opera singer is honestly really interesting! I went to high school for vocal performance, and at first I was on an opera track. I was so excited about it that I was the lead in an opera my freshman year; however, as time went on in high school, I kind of just felt out of love with it, which in a way I was grateful for because I never would have ended up here for theater, but that's kind of just a testament to how you never really know what's going to happen. I really liked how the article talked about all his different paths from guitar to then singing because I can relate to that. I can imagine the thrill of bringing this character to life but also the pressure of it all. Especially because this is his first major opera role. I love the opera. I go to the Met every year, so if I have time, I'll have to check out Erik and his amazing journey, now part of Tosca.
