When reading this article on the reviews for A Beautiful Noise: The Neil Diamond Musical, I realized how powerful nostalgia is. I honestly lowkey hate jukebox musicals. However, this musical genuinely seems interesting and has caught my eye more than other ones Ive seen. From what I’ve read, Nick Fradiani is absolutely killing it as Neil Diamond. I think it would be really interesting to hear Sweet Caroline on a Broadway stage.
It seems like genuinely just more than a concert; it really goes deep into Diamonds journey, both the good and bad. Living in New York, I've seen a lot of musicals that just aren't long enough to convey the story they're trying to tell, and even though some of the reviews mention how songs seem forced, there is definitely heart in the show. The use of iconic music and the show's actual script give it a very real feel. When I go home in October, I'm definitely going to see if I can get a ticket to the show.
