Stagehand 101: Brown, Orange, Yellow
by Richard Cadena: In live event production, we use feeder cable to carry lots of electrical current to the stage, and it’s connected to distros (power distribution units) that subdivide the current into branch circuits or final circuits, typically 20 amps each in North America or 8 or 16 amps in Europe.

Wow. This was such a cool cool article to read because I had literally zero knowledge on the topic. Even though this was a short article, I learned a lot and it was also easy to follow. This was also super interesting because it applied a lot of the physics knowledge that I learned that was kind of just floating around in my brain and it gave it a more concrete meaning and application. I had no clue that a power source could affect the quality of sound, light, and video in a production and that kind of blew my mind but it also made sense. Electricity and power is such an interesting topic to learn about and I really appreciated how neat and organized this article was. I’m surprised more people haven’t read and commented on this article because I think it’s super important to know a bit more about
