I love hearing about how different engineers/designers use different equipment to suit their needs best. I think it’s just so fascinating how the make/model or brand used will impact the sound and tonal quality of a piece or recording. It’s so incredibly interesting to think about and it’s also good to know for the future. I also love how he was talking about the pressure of an already existing recording making him thrive because I feel like that resonates with me a lot. Whenever there’s pressure on me to deliver, I feel like that’s when I do my best or even better. I think it’s super interesting to see how he considered each solo part and the score as a whole and examined everything separately and together. It really shows how much thought and effort he put into recording this especially because it seemed like he had a vision in mind for how he wanted it to sound and executed it perfectly.
