J.T. Rooney seems like a very interesting and knowledgeable person and I thought his answers to the questions in the interview were very interesting. I always wonder how people who pioneer new technology think and innovate constantly, and I think Rooney did a great job of explaining this. I really liked his mention of "learning how to learn new technology." He doesn't think specific skills with the tools are vital, but instead just being open to things constantly changing and learning as much as you can is important. This is something I've already realized is very important during my time at CMU. There are many people here who know much more about me in many aspects, and I've realized that even though I don't have the same knowledge as them, that doesn't make me incapable. It is much more important to be a good listener be open to new ideas and have a carefully constructed thought process in order to learn as much as is possible.
